Where Do You Want To Go?

At Emerson, student individuality is what makes us special. It’s a place where your voice is part of our values. Where your questions will lead you to answers, and bolder, better questions. Where what you think means more than what you memorize. A place of unique personalities and no social cliques. Where classes are small, possibilities countless. Study Arabic. Start your own business. Learn to write sonnets. Build a competitive robot. Help craft a brand new course. At Emerson, we can hear you. So what do you have to say… for yourself?

While fulfilling their core requirements, Emerson students have the freedom to explore areas of personal interest, creating one or more “mini-majors” with up to 12 elective credits of their choosing. Emerson’s approach also has the freedom to create a flexible schedule for students with strong vocational passions outside the school walls.

The Emerson approach not only prepares students for college’s semester-by-semester course load, it also builds greater enthusiasm and sustains sharper focus than the typical seven-class schedule of most American high schools. Our individualized scheduling is highly flexible and student-centered.
